rahul gandhi bhiwadi case

NEW DELHI: A Bhiwandi court today ordered Congress president Rahul Gandhi to be present in court on April 23, for framing of charges against him in a defamation case for saying “RSS people killed Gandhi”.

Rahul was supposed to be in court today, but he wasn’t, and the court allowed an exemption from court application presented by his lawyer.

Rahul made comments about the RSS and Gandhi, the ‘Father of the Nation’, during a Thane rally in March 2014. The case was filed against him by an RSS worker.

“RSS people killed Gandhiji and today their people (BJP) talk of him. They opposed Sardar Patel and Gandhiji,” Rahul had said then.
