Actress Sridevi wins best actress - national film awards

The 65th National Film Awards are being announced right now by a jury headed by ace filmmaker Shekhar Kapur. Kannada film director P Sheshadri, screenwriter Imtiaz Hussain, actor Gautami Tadimalla, lyricist Mehboob are part of the 10-membered panel.

The jury was headed by filmmaker Priyadarshan for the National Awards last year and Akshay Kumar was named the Best Actor for his performance in Rustom. Malayalam actor Surabhi Lakshmi, on the other hand, had bagged the Best Actress award for Minnaminungu.
